The Man in the Bowler Hat and Jim Lauderdale at the Modlin Center for the Arts!

We had a great time at the Retro Roots Tour at the Modlin Center for the Arts at the University of Richmond. I, and my partner in crime, Johnny Batte, got to meet and get station ID tags from Dr. Ralph Stanley, the Seldom Scene, and Jim Lauderdale. All of them were very good to us, and Jim even let me take a picture with him after the show!

Thank you again, gentlemen, for a wonderful evening!

Also, special thanks to John G. at the Modlin Center for helping us be able to meet these fine musicians and get recorded station tags from them.

Nota Bene: Johnny has a program on before mine on WDCE called Old Folk, New Folk, and the Mountain Muse, which includes all manner of Americana music, classic country, lo-fi, progressive folk; you name it, he plays it.  Check him out on Wednesdays from 3-5 PM EST and Saturdays 5-7 PM EST.
